Quantum Hub Latam, una misión para el futuro cuántico de la región
Hoy les cuento con entusiasmo en lo que he estado estos últimos meses junto a un grupo de entusiastas: el lanzamiento de Quantum Hub Latam. Esta iniciativa es el resultado de una profunda convicción: el desarrollo cuántico en Latinoamérica necesita una mirada cercana y alineada con nuestros propios desafíos y oportunidades. Esto no es un sueño, es una misión. Nace como una organización sin fines de lucro, enfocada en la colaboración y el crecimiento de la región en este ámbito.
Las tecnologías cuánticas representan la próxima frontera, una que ya está convergiendo con tecnologías corporativas actuales de uso productivo como la Inteligencia Artificial (machine learning, deep learning), la criptografía y el análisis de datos complejos. Ejemplos como LatamGPT en la región demuestran que un enfoque local no es solo una aspiración, sino una necesidad real para generar un impacto significativo.
Esta convicción es el resultado de años de experiencia y aprendizaje. Mi participación en OneQuantum me ha permitido interactuar con profesionales de todo el mundo y comprender las áreas en las que nuestra región necesita una atención diferenciada. Con ese conocimiento, he decidido enfocar mi energía en esta nueva misión. Por ello, dejo mi posición en el capítulo chileno de OneQuantum para que otros puedan seguir impulsando esa valiosa iniciativa.
Quiero destacar que, aunque cambie de foco, las relaciones que he cultivado se mantienen. De hecho, tengo la suerte de contar ya con el apoyo de una red diversa de actores de los sectores público y privado, de corporaciones, emprendedores e innovadores que se suman a esta misión.
El objetivo de Quantum Hub Latam es claro: posicionar a nuestra región para una colaboración más efectiva y equitativa en el panorama global cuántico, aprovechando la red global que he construido y las oportunidades de desarrollo que se presenten.
Quantum Hub Latam, a Mission for the Quantum Future of the Region
Today, I’m excited to share what I've been working on for the past few months with a group of fellow enthusiasts: the launch of Quantum Hub Latam. This initiative is born from a deep conviction: quantum development in Latin America needs a localized approach aligned with our unique challenges and opportunities. This is not a dream; it's a mission. It begins as a non-profit organization focused on collaboration and regional growth in this field.
Quantum technologies represent the next frontier, one that is already converging with productive corporate technologies such as Artificial Intelligence (machine learning, deep learning), cryptography, and complex data analysis. Examples like LatamGPT in our region show that a local focus is not just an aspiration but a real necessity for creating a significant impact.
This conviction is the result of years of experience and learning. My involvement with OneQuantum allowed me to interact with professionals worldwide and better understand the areas where our region needs special attention. With that knowledge, I have decided to fully focus my energy on this new mission. Therefore, I am stepping down from my position at the Chilean chapter of OneQuantum, so that others can continue to drive that valuable initiative forward.
I want to emphasize that, while my focus is shifting, the relationships I have cultivated remain strong. In fact, I am fortunate to already have the support of a diverse network of partners from the public and private sectors, including corporations, startups, and innovators who are joining this mission.
The goal of Quantum Hub Latam is clear: to position our region for more effective and equitable collaboration within the global quantum landscape, leveraging the global network I have built and the development opportunities that arise.
